its a gentlemans agreement in the game

Players decide they will indicate to their skipper if they know it was a clean catch, who will then indicate this to the umpire.
if the player is anyway unsure he should let teh captain now, so they umpires can then refer to the 3rd umpire.
As he said he caught it, it wasn't refered.
Blatant cheating to be honest.
