i think that was what Roeder said before the official statement was made

and then when the official statement was made it explained diddly-squat.

in Roeder's defence though i think he was referring to the 'has he gone/hasn't he gone' sit-yoo-a-shun becoming clear rather than the reason.

my guess would be that some confidentiality agreements have been signed and we'll never know the real reason, just rumour and speculation
