few belated thoughts on yesterday

1. Rubbish game that we should have had wrapped up in the first 10 minutes. As the game went on they grew in belief and the secoind half was pretty even until they scored.

2. We desperately need another centre back. Because we didnt have one Dion had to play at the back. That meant we have no target man and we had to play those two wasters martin and Jarvis. Once Dion went back up there and Russell back to CM we looked a much better team and started to open them up again.

3. i have not heard roeder's interviews or read any reports but if Semi was not injured or ill or something then dropping him and moving Rusty to right back was an idiotic selection up there with anything that scottish fool managed (except maybe the Doc CM!). Firstly semi is one of our best attacking outlets on the right and secodnly Russell has been excellent in CM of late. Once normal order was resumed int eh second half the team looked far more balanced.

4. Fortheringham was sh*t. He is very inconsistent. When he's on his game he is essential. When he's not he's a liability.

5. Bertrand looked quite good when he came on. Like the idea of him and Semi bombing down both flanks. not sure how many starts he will get though unless we perhaps play wing backs.

6. Atmosphere was poor.

7. Hucks and Croft must have the worst final balls of any wing pairing in the country. Get into so many good positions and then almost without fail seem to take the wrong option. Very frustrating!

Hopefully rumours of this CB are accurate. in addition I would also like to see a creative midfielder and another striker (possibly Ched) before the end of January.
