Another solution suggested was this one. What do you think?
Hi, sorry if you have tried this already but I scanned through the post and I have my setup working like this.
Wireless Router (BT homehub), PC connected via Wireless and Xbox 360 connected via ethernet cable to the PC.
For me (windows xp) it was as simple as setting up the network (start, settings, network connections, setup a home or small office network).
ignore any disconnected hardware, choose 'this computer connects directly to the internet, the other computers on my network connect to the internet through this computer'
Select your internet connection - Wireless connection X
Select the checkbox for each connection that connects this computer to your other network computers - check 'Local area connection' or similar name. Click next...
next next next, It should take a min or so to complete (don't worry about the setup disc). I then I had to disable the windows firewall. you may also have to disable any other firewalls, I couldn't get it to work with them enabled.
This setup worked fine for me and also for a friend.
