Hear me out on this before you all stick the boot in ok?
The lad has been here for so many years now without getting the opportunity to shine like he could. putting him out on loan was a great way to get the lad some experince of first team football. He is getting to the age where he needs regular first team, competitive action, and if we cant guarentee that then its both parties best option to let him go.
Its a win win situation, he gets to play the football he needs week in week out, we make some cash out of it and have a bit more to go shopping in january.
The only thing i would say with Gilks out injured is that we may need to get a keeper in on loan for a month or so to cover that period.
