You just plug your xbox into your computer

with an ethernet cable into the network port.

Could save you money but does mean you need to have your computer near to your computer (or a very long lead).

I think you can also plug your xbox straight into your router (which is more likely to be nearer that your computer).

Wouldn't give him a quid for it.
