If you look how constricted this division is compared to the others it may give a clue. The gap between top and bottom pointswise is much less - . Bristol City are joint top - are we a lot worse than them (on current form)?

That's top club to bottom. It's a lot less if you look play-off to relegation.

If you bear in mind that we had to make up 6 points on the club above us when Roeder took over, you get an idea how well we've done recently. If you compare that to Palace, who were 8(?) points ahead of us at that time, we would also be considerably higher if we hadn't been hamstrung by that appalling start to the season.
