Also stayed around Bohinj, amazing scenery, cheap, friendly people etc. Ljubljana is also a fine city, feels more like Norwich (size-wise) than a big metropolis, relaxed, welcoming, interesting, a great place to spend a day or two, and quite easy to get to, either direct, or train from Trieste (Italy), Maribor (Slovenia) or Klagenfurt (Austria), all on Ryanair cheapies.
