Hi mate, saw your post earlier down about travelling and I thought I'd add my thoughts in.
Vienna is a fantastic city, went with the Mrs in November for the weekend (tied it in with Austria v England game) and we both loved it. Easy to get around by metro if needed, plenty of big fancy buildings and all that.
Rome is another great city as well (as long as Man Yoo aren't in town). Place just oozes history and the weather is guaranteed (ish) to be good in summer.
I would agree in one sense about Geneva, it is pretty boring as cities go but there is some stunning scenary if you go just outside the city and around the lake and the mountain air feels so crisp and fresh. Great after a heavy night.
I like Amsterdam, just be aware of the idiots but there are some great bars and in my experience the locals are pretty cool people, very relaxed for some reason!
Other cities I really enjoyed where Oslo and Gothenburg but that's a bit out of the way from mainland Europe. Both quite expensive (especially Oslo) but lovely places.
I suppose my best advice would be to narrow down the parts of Europe you want to see. Maybe start of by Eurostar to Paris and then go on from there. To be honest Paris is a city I don't really like but the Eiffel Tower and all that are most do's at some point I guess.
The only place in Europe I haven't really enjoyed is Moscow as I went when England where in town and it wasn't that friendly!!! Was great to see Red Square and the Kremlin but over all the locals were miserable bastards. The only friendly ones I saw where some of the ladies in the hotel foyer!!!!
Anyway, rambled on for too long. Sure you will have a good one anyway. If you want any advice about any of the places of mentioned, just let me know.
