If Ched Is On His Way Back To Man City

-and even if he isn't...we need a targetman and PDQ!

He and Cureton are very similar, I thought we had signed him as a targetman, but that wasn't the case, more of a rival for JC and a bit of competition for that place, all well and good, but they can't gel as a pairing so do we need the proverbial "big man" to do the holding the ball up, laying off chances and being a nuisance type thing?

We can't rely on DD to do that game in and game out, and, quite honestly, we shouldn't either.

Brown is not the answer.

But who?

Historical links to players like Adebola and Scowcroft have left us-me included!-protesting strongly but I note both are doing well and playing regularly at the moment for Cov and Palace-and scoring, Scowcroft's goal was a little gem yesterday. Both are exactly the type of player we need.

Note Shawcross, the one who got away, got his 8th goal of the season for Stoke yesterday!

And Richard Cresswell, who we were never linked with -to my knowledge-but I hoped all Summer we would be, has been injury free and banging them in for the same club. He would have been very good indeed to have alongside someone like Chev or JC.

Reckon we need a "spine" -a central defender, creative central midfielder and a targetman in January-which means we'll probably get a left back-though we do need one of those!-a right sided midfiedler and another "whippet like" striker!
