Is there a time for that ? If he wants to go then take the offer. My theory is

that Worthington bollocked him for his lacklustre pre-season (he didn't look interested in Maastricht either) and he then decided "sod you I'm off to Portsmouth" or Worthy decided it after a heated exchange.
