Grant wasn't prepared to let his players enjoy their football at all, and it really came through on the pitch, especially when there was that rash of sendings-off for dissent late in his spell as manager.
And calling the fans a "disgrace" 30 seconds into his career wasn't too clever either. There are ways of telling people they're doing things wrong that work, and Grant's didn't - it was by turns arrogant, malicious and often completely uncalled for.
