Dear Deluded,

You can be in the playoffs as many seasons as you like, but if you don't actually win 'em then what is the point. I know that secretly you and 17,000 others (on a good day) , are bricking it.

You know your away form won't get you automatic promotion. You are aware of your disastrous playoff history. And some of you can even see that the debt hasn't gone away.

You are reviled by your own business community, and should it be needed in the future, no financial institution will touch you with a ten foot barge pole.

And that includes Northern Rock.

So get real, get your own ground and get a crowd to fill it. The future's bright, the future's yellow...
