lets not get carried away.

I think its reasonable to assume GR has a budget of between 500K and 2 million in the transfer window.
As much as he likes Tiny, he may feel there are other
options out there who could do a good job for us without blowing most of his wad.

Lets give GR a chance. he has brought in some good loan players so far.
He might not want to pay full price for Taylor because he has bigger plans in the works......... and only has the budget for certain options.

The good news is that you can tell from his reaction
that he knows we are weak at the back and said he is looking for other central defenders.

Also one more point..................

I dont buy all the "Taylor wants to come here" spin.

If he did, he had a funny way of expressing it.
He never said the "right things" about wanting to join.
He REALLY wanted to play in the prem with Brum.
