Get a taxi

Colchester Town station is more like 20mins walk (up hill) to Layer Rd and trains to Town station are infrequent.

Your best bet is to just get a taxi straight from Colchester North. It'll be about ?5-6.

Nearest pub is The Drury on the corner of Layer Rd/Butt Rd. But the best pub is The Dragoon (Adnams) on Butt Rd. Also loads of pubs in the town centre which is halfway between station and ground.
