But, no, I haven't heard that one. Environmentalism is not one of my favoured subjects I'm afraid - although I do read Monbiot in the Guardian regularly (you found his website, BTW: User Posted Link - some good stuff there).

On the recommendation of someone at work, I started to read The Skeptical Environmentalist, but couldn't get much beyond the (long) intro. He had several interesting things to say and backed up with some formidable stats. He probably had a section on GM foods, so I wish I still had the book.
