Depressing, isn't it? Once we were seen as a club on the rise, able to attract other players in that same category and indeed better. Remember Peter Crouch begging to play for us (a £5m player, not Tiny's measly £3m after inflation?

Now we're seen as a club either to avoid altogether, or to use as a shop window for more dosh/ bigger things. It used not to be like that and I hope it won't be next season, but it is right now.
