Irritated to hell by this "Knockoff Nigel" campaign

Suggs.

Tell you why: I've bought knockoff dvds in the past and might again had I not lost contact with the dood. I used to buy them if I was mildly interested in a movie but not to the point of wanting to pay out for it - and in return for my few quid I'd get a poor-quality copy that I could chuck away afterwards. that is, a poor quality copy with no annoying menus, no trailers for other s**te that couldn't be fast-forwarded and no 'Play movie' buttons.

And on the few occasions when I did enjoy the fillum, I'd then go and buy it, prop-ah.

OK I can see why they want people to stop doing this - but this 'gives his girlfriend a watch that he found in the street' thing is utter bollocks (tho I probably am a 'grubby little man', yes).

Buying dvds in this way is actually a sensible and even a GREEN decision when balanced against the staggering amount of waste perpetrated daily in the developed west.

Rant over. (Ducks for cover)
