Now you are having a pop at me for not saying it was a racist joke. When we are both of the view that it wasn't.

I've done my best to engage with you rationally over this, but it's like pushing water uphill. The bottom line is that you still resent the fact that you got picked up for saying something offesnive and stupid, and you want to make out that those who criticised you are as bad as you. A very human instinct, but not justified.

I could turn this into a full scale WOTB flaming session by going back and digging out your "Carlton Palmer big lips" episode, your "he must keep fit by banging the drums in his jungle village" episode and all the rest, just to remind you of the difference between those remarks and the "amusing play on words" type jokes. I'm not going to. I've done my best to engage with you; it's not worked; I'm going to ignore you on this topic (not on others) from now on.

I remind you again that I was the person who tried to stop the "lynch pants he's a racist" brigade. Why you have decided to focus your desire to be vindicated on me I don't know.
