I haven't been this excited about a fight for a long time

Having been very negative about Hatton's chances, I was really struck by two things about him. First, he fights leaning in - a very noticeable angle as he come forward. So that enables him to change the distance very quickly, and enables him to lever his whole body into the punch.

Second, he has got HUGE legs for a boxer. Real tree trunks. And if you're punching from the foot, as he does, that's a big advantage. So it's FM's ling arms v Ricky's strong legs!

Last, I've worked out who he reminds me of - Tony Sibson, the Battling Gypsy. Although he was a southpaw, Sibbo was also a vicious hooker and bodypuncher, low set, big legs. HE got stuffed by Hagler but he was a class act.
