Your aim: see the money invested in a stronger and deeper squad, with plenty held in reserve for a new manager and new players if you look like doing a Derby.
His aim: to get as much money out of the club and into his pockets as quickly as possible, so as to enable him to recoup what he paid NU for their debt, and to get back the £12m he invested to get you up. The only question will be whether he will reckon that he could keep you up for a season or whether he will think that the odds are against that and he might as well scalp you for the cash while he can
