*Nothing* makes my heart sink faster than seeing one bloke amble on stage with a guitar.

Pretty much *always* rubbish, especially at open mic nights. There's as many down here as anywhere else - I went to see David Thomas Broughton on Wednesday, and the support act was an absolutely bobbins 'singer-songwriter' with boring tunes with boring lyrics.

I say do it: perhaps a conceptual set based on WotB?
