I tdon't agree

Grant was a destructive influence on the club, buying players with fragile egos and battering them.

Anyone can bring in a player like Cureton when you've got an Earnshaw sized cheque burning a hole in your back pocket. Even me. It's how you treat him publicly when he's too greedy in front of goal that matters, eh?

Russell was also a known quantity and Marshall was hardly a punt - albeit a coup to get him here. Grant's biggest punts were Strihavka, Brown, Brellier, Lappin and Fotheringham in that they were, to an extent, unknown quantities.

The success rate of this bunch is fairly plain to see.

It isn't black and white, Grant didn't do everything wrong. But he was destructive and we could yet be relegated, which - in my view - would be his fault.
