The bloke made a terrible mistake - he legged it instead of stopping

A tube station would seem to me to be a natural place to go if chased. It doesn't mean he had anything to hide! The police are not to know that, of course, and given the current situation probably did only see one course of action. We need to find out why it turned out to be the wrong one - and I hope we will eventually. I don't necessarily blame them under the circumstances; but we cannot give them carte blanche to shoot anyone who's a bit suspicious.
