The reason we took so long to appoint Roeder

... the club were as guessed awaiting Jewell but not as we imagined. Over two weeks the club tried to get in touch with Jewell... numerous phone calls and messages, etc. etc. but he did not return a single call even to discuss the job. Not even the courtesey of a no thanks.
