Both.

Do different things with your friends: surprise them! But this is about YOU - so you need to make sure you do one different thing a day too. The problem is you're scared to let go: you feel you have to be in control at all times, and football is an ideal way of doing this. Football is predictable: you know when the fixtures are, you know there's a club at Carrow Road you love, you know there will always be people there who love Norwich City just as much as you do. So you invest all your emotions in football because it's safe: unlike with women, you can't get hurt.

But life isn't about football. It's about new experiences, testing yourself and having fun. And trust me: the thing is, NONE of us are totally in control. We're ALL scared (not that you'll find many people admitting that on here!) But if you trust yourself, if you say to yourself: "Yes, I CAN do this", and always make sure you give yourself a chance and realise it'll take time, you'll be fine! Oh, and one other thing: if your friends care about you, let them in. Tell them about what scares you - and let them be with you on the journey.
