How do you know Dean Marney isn't as good as David Bentley? He's scored more premiership goals than Bentley and in my opinion is far more useful. Bentley was an arrogant ponce who was nowhere near as good as he thought himself to be. Marney appears far more the kind of scrapping player required in division 1. Don't get me wrong, Bentley showed touches of class last season, however some matches he was crap, Fulham for example, trying flicks and tricks that did us no favours. Marney would seem to be a more straightforward player, possibly not a technically gifted, but that doesnt in my opinion make him a lesser player.
