I think Jewell would the obvious choice I'm tending towards Ince . He's done some hard yards already, and learnt the ropes in the lower leagues, just like O'Neill did all those years ago. He’s on the up, desperate not to fail, and in time will be top manager.
Of the four candidates you mentioned, if I had to do for one, it would be Tilson; as you implied I think it is the right time to go from Southend, and this would be his big opportunity.
I am assuming, of course that we have not approached Gordon Bartlett.
