Being honest, and assuming we can't get any of Jewell, Bruce or Hareide, I'd take any of these four. You can't really separate them in terms of likelihood of success: sure, Parkinson has a failure on his CV, but he was VERY highly rated prior to joining Hull - and who's to say Grayson, say, wouldn't suffer here what Parky did at the KC? You can never tell for sure - and more experienced managers with a proven record in the Championship like Adams, Dowie or (it would appear now) Jones have failed somewhere themselves too.
Roeder, though, would be a disaster: his record's almost Duffy or Hamilton-esque; and I don't think Staunton would be a clever choice at all either. It has to be one of the four above (with my hunch having switched from Mad Dog to Parkinson over the last few days) - unless the board have worked the miracle, and somehow landed a genuinely big name.
