My mates think it weird that I know how many steps there are in the stairs at each of

thier houses.

Thing is, y'see, my very earliest memoery is my Mum teaching me to count by counting the stairs out loud as she helped me up/down them.

And it's stuck with me, without me even meaning to my brain is silently counting steps as I go up and down stairs.

14 by the way to the first floor in my house, a further 12 to the second.
