I agree if it is a fit John Hartson he would be an asset but someone who has not even been getting a game for West Brom reserves and looks the size of Jimmy 5 bellies is going to take a while to get fit.

The Safri/Grant saga all come down to whose explanation you believe. I own a couple of houses on the Hopkins Homes development where Safri and various othe current and past players have lived. One of my tenants became good friends with Saf so I tend to believe his side of the story.

I am not blaming Doncaster for Saf leaving I am simply putting across the fact that it is not a striker we need it is a quality creative midfielder.

Afraid to say I just don't understand where all is Fozzie is the saviour theory which is based on 20 mins of football against Southampton. He was very poor lst season.

As for Jimmy Smith he has not even played a competative game for us yet!

I'm not going on internet message board rumours I simply don't trust the board to appoint the the correcty manager and I know they love a cheap appointment from within hence why Duffy has as a good chance as anyone.

I have meet Gunn at various golf events i have been to. However I am not having a go at his personality I am simply stating that it is very naive to think that someone who has been out of the game for 10 years is going to be the man we need to sort all the transfers. It stinks of jobs for the boys in my eyes.

I agree the board should ask for peoples opinions but people who are currently in football not someone who has been out the game for so long like DS. I know that Dave Stringer had a big say in the appointment of Grant.
