Of course the Aussies were 3rd favourites

Going into yesterday, that is: France had to play the runaway favourites, while Oz only had an apparently understandard England team to face. But before the tournament began, France were just 3rd favourites behind the Boks, with the Aussies a distant fourth. Now, finally, the French are on a roll: we'll see of course, and I'd love to be wrong, but if you ask me, we've already seriously overachieved, whereas France are only just getting into their stride.
