Find some bloke called Noah

Pretend to be God and warn him that a big flood is coming and he has to build an ark IN THE FORM OF A FOOTBALL STAND.

Course, the problem with that approach is that the resultant stand would probably be made of wood, which Health and Safety would clamp right down on. So this may be a non starter after all - that's probably why they didn't try it.
