Have to say you're being a bit harsh about Duff Jimmy. He talks a massive amount of sense in his weekly Scotland on Sunday column, and as a manager, actually did brilliantly at Dundee, taking them to the League Cup Final while in the 1st Division, before being a disaster at Hibs (where, to be fair, the off-field situation beggared belief anyway). Then, back at Dundee, he did well again, leading them to another Cup Final - before the horrific state of their finances (they almost went bust just before he was appointed) finally did for them.

In any case, he's an assistant for us, not the manager - and his contacts are pretty useful if you ask me. That said, I'd go mental if we just replaced Grant with him - you'd probably find me firebombing the club office if we did that! Having thought about it, if things don't work out for PG, and given the players already at the club, I'll be calling for an experienced campaigner who knows his way around this league and is used to shovelling s**t: Paul Sturrock would be my choice.

Let's see how the next three or four games go before rushing to judgement, anyway...
