Oh, what I mentioned above

Apparently I showed myself to be a team player and, as a manager, found the relationships between team members to be very important in achieving efficiency. However, I didn't not appear to feel the need to belong to groups.

He claims that group and team are the same thing, and that this is contradictory.

I believe team and group are not synonymous, and that while it is true that I've never really been somebody who needs to be deeply immersed within groups, I do encourage team spirit as a manager, and am very much a "team player" in the work place.
