A few years back, I was running the travel for the Capitals

and Anglia railways forgot to take £700 plus from my credit card. So I researched the matter, to discover they had 6 months to claim it, so I stuck the money in a high interest account in case they came for it.....

....they did, in the sixth month.

When I phoned them to say "why did it take them so long?", I was told that the relevant slip of paper had fallen down the back of someone's desk and if it had been found two weeks later Mastercard would not have hounered it! Typical!
