... at the start of the season, give it a few months to gel, mid-table at Xmas, climb and an outside chance of top six at the end of term, depending on a number of factors, not least luck.

Although we're within that I was not happy coming away last night, and not just because we'd been on for a point at Charlton up to the 85th minute, which would have been a good result, before throwing it away. I thought the selection was off and I didn't like the shape either.

Still, we need to give Grant his head, and mid-September is too early to tell really what's going to happen over a whole season.
