and how many clubs are closer than us

I think you'll find it is most of them. And you forget to mention access to the Northwest which is the heartleand of football in this country (check the number of Prem clubs from there, and presumably it is Prem clubs we are looking to loan from). Prem-wise, about the only clubs for which geography is not too much of a factor are Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Spurs, Fulham and (ahem!) Derby. Even, then West London is probably a bit of a pain.
