From what I've seen of him, he looks to be a step ahead of the rest of the team in positioning and runs, and they don't pick him out. Which is in contrast to Brown, whose effort is obviously not in doubt; it wasn't a great match yesterday, but no-one had a bad game - the play just broke down every time the ball got to Brown. And all his shots were off target, the complete opposite of the pre-season West Ham game. Whereas, when Dave came on, his first flick-on went straight to Cureton, he held up the ball well in the last 10 minutes, and he scored. That was the difference.
