Oh, that never happened to my grandfather. About a year before his death he

realised he couldn't concentrate anymore, and he was a keen scholar, especially of languages (fluent French, Italian and German, pretty decent Russian and Spanish), and a big literature fan. He was always scared of it affecting his brain and once it did he actually took an overdose. My grandmother found him, he went to hospital, spent a few months in a nursing home and then pegged it (as stroke). To be honest I think that was fairly merciful for that disease.
