"Five Dominican minutes"

We were waiting for a boat in the Dominican Republic, and blokey said "the capatain's just doing some stuff, he says they'll be ready for boarding in five Dominican minutes," and then, soto voce, "which could be anything up to three quarters of an hour, I'd go and get a drink and find some shade if I were you."
