Not sure if that's a rhetorical question but I'm so bored I'll answer anyway

100m is the shortest recognised distance, probably because anything less is a bit of a waste of time due to the race being less than 10 seconds long! Don't they do the bleep thing for short distances anyway?

Anyway, I wasn't advocating regular 100m races at Colney. I was just suggesting that, it's not as stupid an idea as some people on here might suggest
