Mr In Holland - i'm saying that being a manager means making these sort of decisions - and living with the consequences of them.

On balance if you were a fit young defender last night it would be unusual for you not to question (at least in your own mind) why the manager would rather play someone who was patently unfit.

I have no idea whether this is true - it would just be how I would react.
