the reason wasn't because Rochdale were up for it. Brellier, Lappin and Russell were entirely ineffective as a midfiled 3. Dublin, Martin and Hucks all grafted as a front 3 but were ineffective as all were trying to act as the provider. The only offence we mounted was when Huckerby did the odd waltz through Rochdale's defence, Dublin blocking Martin's shot from a cutback, and when Otsemobor strode forward with the ball and played it through to them. but too much of the front 3s game was looking for the ball.
When we went 4-4-2 we were much, much better... but by then they had confidence so were much more up for it. I think had we started the game with the formation and lineup that we started the second then we would have had things much easier and should have won the 3-1 i predicted to my girlfriend before the game.
Didn't get much of a look at murray apart from his stumble which led to their goal.
But this was my first game and i was happy with the win and the minutes to money ratio i got, just worried about how we'll fair.
