Midfield etc.

I agree with the consensus regarding midfield and I think it's an area we haven't got right even when we won the Championship under Worthy. We desepartely need a good distributor of the ball and the only two in recent year who have been able to do this, albeit inconsistently, are Mulryne and Safri. I thought Safri did this well for Soton last week and it's no coincidence that he was usually in the side when we played our best football. Last week Fotheringham started to pull the strings and I thought he was the answer (still might be after Christmas). Trouble is you can fill your team with agressive midfielders till the cows come home but any midfielder with good distribution will play them out of the game. A pity Safri didn't stay although good riddance to him now but I think Grant will have to try and find a playmaker.
