True story

a mate of mine was travelling to zone 6, he had a ticket for zone 123, he was in zone 4 when he realised he's forgotten to buy a ticket to 6 so he decided to go see the ticket man and explain he needed a ticket.

The ticket man decided to say, no im going to fine you 20£ instead, my mate kicked off badly & ended up getting arrested, what a bunch of cnuts.
