I think their away form under Jol is what the concern about

as well as appearing to throw games away that are in the bag so to speak

When Sunderland nicked that game at the end on the first day, it was the same old spurs, done enough to win the game but haven't scored, and settled for a point and allowed their concentration to drop, and a couple of players lost their rag (Keane notably in that game), and Sunderland pounced on a corner

I like Jol though, don't get me wrong, but with the money he's had, and the backing/expectation, he maybe has done all he can with his experience, which is why spurs might look for someone else that can be stronger
