WOuld be an excellent signing

Celtic
O'Dea made his Celtic debut in the CIS Cup against St Mirren in September 2006.[1] He made his first League appearance two months later as a substitute against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

He made his first league starting appearance against Dunfermline Athletic in December 2006, just four days after making his Champions League debut against FC Copenhagen as a substitute, replacing the injured Stephen McManus.[2]

He scored his first goal for Celtic against Dundee United on December 26, 2006.[3] He followed that with a goal on January 2, 2007, against Kilmarnock.[4]

O'Dea played an important part for Celtic when called upon at centre back during the course of the 2006/2007 season and for this reason he will be hoping to become a first team regular in the 2007/2008 season.

His most notable of performances for Celtic so far was away to AC Milan in the Champions League in which Celtic held AC Milan before Kaka scored an extra time wondergoal for Milan. After the game, the great Paolo Maldini praised the young central defenders performance.

Darren O'Dea impressed so much in his first season at Celtic he signed a three year contract with the option of an extra year on March 13, 2007.
