I wouldn't care if my plumber or plasterer knew differentiation. Of course not.

I didn't care that my previous cleaning lady had a masters degree in biochemistry either. But she did, once she obtained a job in the biochemistry industry. And she was the one cleaner who was interesting to converse with. Not because we talked about biochemistry - certainly not - but because she was articulate and offered intelligent opinions.
