my thoughts on last night

first half - no complaints at all. thought everyone played well and the ball was passed around well and at times played some really good football. thought it was the linesman getting injured that affected our momentum (not making excuses, its more of a fact that after that we went downhill).

second half - a completely different team, some players stood out more than others but im sure with some hard work moments like this will be erased quickly.

Marshall - 7 - looked good when called upon. goals were slightly easy and could have been saved but still a good performance

Semi - 8 - looks good going forwards, incredible pace but seems to get caught forward too often, found doc/shac/marshall often shouting for him to get back

Drury - 7 - solid performance, no complaints

Doc - 5 - not the nightmare everyone makes him out to be, made some good tackles and interceptions, but not consistant enough

Shacks - 6 - similar to doc really, made some good tackles and interceptions but not consistant enough

Russell - 8 - very solid performance from russell and got a goal, very impressed, made a real effort throughout the match, hopefully will continue

Fozzy - 7 - got a goal, got stuck in and had a pretty solid game

Lappin - 7/8 - played well, got in some good crosses and scored a belter, sometimes seemed to drift away from the game but still a good game

Croft - 7/8 - same as lappin, put in some good crosses, but seemed to drift away at times and some crosses were left to be desired

Brown - 6 - holds the ball up and plays well, but unfortunately couldnt his a cows arse with a banjo last night, could change if he starts scoring, seemed a bit shy on some of the headers, maybe protecting his nose

Cureton - 9 - 2 goals, great performance, slightly selfish towards the end when chasing the hattrick but good sign of intent no less

SUBS:

Dave - 5 - never really got into the match, didnt really get the ball and the times he did seemed angered at himself it wasnt going well

Martin - 5 - very quiet, didnt do anything of any real value, played out of position probably didnt help, still young so no need to be critical

Dion - 6 - seemed torn between striker and defence once drury got injured, good effort, needs more match practise to get fitness up. low rating as he wasnt on for long enough to make an impact
